# Make Packages

In the root folder a [**PKGBUILD**](https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PKGBUILD) file as to be created which contains configuration for the package. 


When makepkg is run, these folders are created:
```
myapp/
├── PKGBUILD
├── src/        ← $srcdir
│   └── unpacked source files here
├── pkg/        ← $pkgdir lives here
│   └── myapp/...
└── myapp-1.0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst  ← the final package
```
